People in the Balkan countries of North Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomed the New Year in squares.
In Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, citizens entered the new year in Macedonia Square in the capital. Local singers took the stage at the New Year concert organized in the square. In the New Year celebrations attended by thousands of people, the first minutes of 2025 were greeted with a fireworks show.
