The 10th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (CIS) started in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
The leaders gathered for a family photo before the summit hosted by Kazakh President Kassym Jömert Tokayev with the theme of "Turkic Era".
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was welcomed by Tokayev upon his arrival at the Akorda Presidential Palace.
President Erdoğan, President of Kazakhstan Tokayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Uzbekistan Shevket Mirziyoyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan, President of Kazakhstan Tokayev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Uzbekistan Shevket Mirziyoyev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of the People's Assembly of the National Council of Turkmenistan, former President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban took part in the family photo.
At the photo session, President Erdoğan was flanked by President Tokayev of Kazakhstan on his right and President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan on his left.
