Not so much Swannying Around this time more like fleeing from Uzbekistan as fast as our little webbed feet would take us. We will release a video that explains in depth why we fled but I am holding out until we are far away from authoritarian rule.
Today, we traveled overnight in a sleeper bus to reach Almaty. Having visited Almaty previously, we have another video that I recommend about that stay. This time, we explored a new area, wandering through Gorky Park, which might also be known as Central Park, although the signage and Google Maps references are inconsistent. We discovered the Almaty Zoo and encountered a variety of exotic animals, including some Australian species surprisingly far from home.
