I decided to release this for three reasons:
1. I didn't know about the Almaty video when I first recorded this, so I wanted to swap that in to promote the proper video.
2. Swapping in the Almaty version allowed me to include his speech before.
3. Current world events necessitate spreading this message more, so hopefully re-releasing allows a few more people to experience it.

Dimash has obviously made me feel immense amounts of emotion throughout the songs I have experienced, including the music video for this song. But this performance is the first time he has genuinely made me break down and cry, and it is well earned.

This song conveys such an important message of making the choice to stand up to the atrocities of the world and choose life. Especially living in America, it has become too easy to be desensitized to horrific violence because the next shooting is always around the corner. But this song serves as a brilliant reminder to break free from that mentality, and the refrain of "We're choosing life!" is something I will carry into my day-to-day actions going forward.
