Welcome to Episode 6 of my Kazakhstan travel series!

In this episode, Exploring the Kazakhstan intercity train, friendly TTR, local hospitality and a surprise free breakfast offered by the train worker.

The next morning, I wake up to a foggy and mist-covered train route ????️ as the train approaches Almaty. After reaching Almaty, I share my first impressions of the city, take a local bus to my hostel and explore the hostel before enjoying a simple and delicious breakfast with a huge crispy shawarma and coffee.

I also visit Sairan City Beach based on a hostel recommendation, explore Almaty’s beautiful Panfilov Street at night, discover its European-style architecture, cafés, restaurants and hotels, and take a quiet night walk through the city using Google Maps.

Along the way, I share useful information about Kazakhstan train travel, local transport, hostel stay, train & bus ticket prices and exploring Almaty at night.
